Brand Identity & Packaging Design
Brand identity, product packaging design and illustration for Hyram Yarbro’s skincare line “Selfless by Hyram”. The brand launched in 2021 and was developed in collaboration with The Inkey List.
Every Selfless purchase provides clean drinking water or protects tropical forests.
The skincare line is available in 29 countries at Sephora, Target and on the Selfless website.
→ Briefing
Picpacker Motion Design needed to renew their brand identity. Their old one felt dated and wasn’t representing their company philosophy well enough any more.
→ Process
In personal meetings and video calls we discussed different directions. We presented three possible design directions. One of them was chosen and we improved it to fit them well.
→ Solution
We designed a visual system of geometric shapes to represent their versatility. The shapes are used in their animations and representative printed stationery.
→ Success
Their clients approved of the new identity right away. After a few months in use Pickpacker remains confident about their new look and uses the geometric shapes in their animations.
All packaging illustrations form one continuous landscape when lined up next to each other.
The brand identity’s combination of a slight medicinal feel with playful imagery portray what Hyram is representing – trusted information about skincare and having fun with it.

The illustrations wrap around the pack forming scenery that differs with every product.
The lush jungle landscape on the “Centella & Green Tea” cleanser hints at Selfless’ contribution to the Rainforest Trust.
The packaging illustrations are intricate scenes of landscapes.
They show the natural diversity of tropical forests on the products that help prevent deforestation.
Some of the products, like the “Mandelic Acid & Rice Bran” serum have a water-focused theme. They are supporting the Thirst Project, an organisation that helps solving the global water crisis.

The “Niacinamide & Maracujá” moisturizer pack features a village scenery with a water well.
The primary packaging is designed in a simple straight-forward way.
